Kittitas County is looking to fill a position for a Engineering Tech. Typically, 8 months of the year will be survey tasks, and 4 months of the year will be assigned to construction inspection. We are not a typical government agency. We run a small staff of highly trained, highly motivated individuals, and equip and pay them accordingly.
Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Does work in this this position count towards responsible charge for a license seeking individual?
I personally supervise this position 8 months of the year. As far as responsible charge, it really depends on the applicant. I have one staff member studying for their LSIT (FS), and another preparing for their EIT (FE). If you are interested in either licensure, we can certainly support you in that regard. If you are interested in more of a CST track, we can also go there.?ÿ
Our office has paid for college level courses (business and finance) High level cad training, ROW agent training, Flood management training, and committed to training what we hope to be our future replacements.?ÿ
Thanks for the candor. Sounds like a great opportunity!?ÿ Im a CST2 O/F and was going for the 3 and decided to focus on the FS now instead.?ÿ I'm asking for me, and anyone else so they can get the information and see it here.?ÿ This site rocks!
Regardless of the job posting, best of luck on your FS. It literally will open up job opportunities anywhere in the country for you.?ÿ
Thanks!
That's what my mentor was telling me, and said go back for the CST3+ later if I have time.
Looking for another tech. Reach out if you have any questions.
Still looking??
Still looking??
Join the crowd!?ÿ It is nice to see what I would consider a competitive wage from a municipality.?ÿ
