I am a dedicated professional who has an ambition to succeed in any environment. I am always up to a challenge,whatever the situation. Profile
Highly Trained and Motivated with 18 years of experience in a wide range of survey work. Talent for quickly mastering new equipment and software be it a GPS unit, Total Station, or Laser Scanner. Demonstrated history of completing large, complex surveys ahead of schedule. Used to working under pressure be it from tight schedules or under observation by clients. I know how to run a crew and get the most from my team. I have TWIC, CPR, 40 Hr Hazwoper, and Associated Recriprocal Safety Council Basic Plus and Plant Specific Training. I am also very experienced working out of boatsand airboats and have worked with several brands of hydrographic equipment.

Recent Notable Projects & Role
Project: US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, Contract W912P8-07-D-0028 SELA Florida Ave Ph.IV. The project was a thorough above and below ground Topographic Survey in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans performed with a combination of Mobile Mapping, Laser Scanning, and Conventional Surveying.
Role: Party Chief in charge of setting control, supervising additional crews, coordinating with USACE Inspectors and Sewage & Water Board employees, locating and identifying all underground utilities, and providing field Quality Control.
 
Project: Dimensional Control for Accommodation Module and Helipad for QCI Marine in Pascagoula, MS. The project was a total inside and out 3 Dimensional As Built Control Survey of a 5 Story module to be attached to a Brazillian Oil Rig.
Role: Party Chief in charge of setting control on all 5 levels using techniques worked out on site, collecting specified measurements on critical frame elements and scanning the structure inside and out using DS&A’s Topcon GLS 1000 Laser Scanner. The project was featured in Point of Beginning Magazine’s August 2011 issue.
 
Project: 3D Laser Scan of Lilly Bayou Control Structure in East Baton Rouge, LA for the Engineering Division of the New Orleans Corps of Engineers for conformance to design criteria.
Role: Party Chief in charge of setting precise horizontal and vertical contol for scan positions to collect the necessary laser scans to millimeter accuracy.
 
Project: US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, Contract W912P8-07-D-0028 Sarpy Levee Enlargement, Job Nol07-195C. The project was a 4 mile stretch of Miss. River Levee, adjacement highway, and industrial facilities, surveyed by a combination of Laser Scanning and conventional methods.
Role: Party Chief in charge of setting control and collecting all conventional and scan data to the required COE accuracy and specifications.
 
Project: US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, Contract W912P8-07-D-0028 Bayou Bienvenue to Hwy 46 LPV 145 & 146. The project was a 14.3 mile Levee Topo and Hydrographic Survey along the MRGO in Jefferson Parish, LA.
Role: Party Chief and Field Supervisor in charge of multiple conventional and hydro crews overseeing the division and coordination of all field work.

Mike finished every Corps project we had ahead of schedule but I had to make cuts after our contract ended. He will make you money.

Why don't you try the other COE contractors in the New Orleans, V-burg or Mobile districts?

That is "open" info available to you.

The one thing that I noticed was that you listed the Bayou Bienvenue task order in Jefferson Parish instead of St. Bernard Parish.
Because of Isaac, there must be a lot of work there right now since Braithwaite was wiped out by 15' wall of water.

If you're up to relocate to south, south dakota and don't mind lots of travel I know a place possibly hiring, lots of corps work and hydro.
