Drat it. If only I were a geodesist...! I just got back from a visit with my kids to their grandma's. I'd be happy to move back to Columbus. Although HWMBO doesn't want to move anywhere where they're snow so that would be another problem.
Confused here as my attempts to delete an erroneous posting seemed unsuccessful. The errant posting seems gone.
To qualify as a geodesist series (1372), one need not have a degree in geodesy but must have the courses and number of credits specified in the attached file.
Many folks with non-geodesy degrees have qualified for geodesist positions. Of course all candidates must have taken (and passed) differential and integral calculus.?ÿ
I did note that the announcement mentioned that education could not be substituted for the required experience.

I don't have the experience. Beyond a low-end consumer grade handheld GPS and some light navigation-only work, my last encounter with a survey-grade instrument was a T2 around 1992!
Humm....Looks like a good gig.
