We need an pair of expert level Instrument men A.S.A.P. This position is with a very well established survey firm in downtown Miami. Candidates should know Topcon guns, survey pro, Trimble RTK, and EFB. This will be mostly boundary and DOT, with a bit of construction QC.
Kind of excluding the females aren't you 😉

I was going to say get a robot, but then you said EFB... and Miami. BTW, whats the half life of unattended survey equipment in South Florida nowadays?
Theft is on the way back up I hear. But an EFB crew is like 6 people, right?
we can train someone for EFB. we run a 3 man crews. i don't mean anything against women, they make fine surveyors. Kewit has them running around with robots. we don't use robotic here, we would have to pay someone to watch it on the streets. there was a crew from another company who was robbed at gunpoint for their network rover the other day. Miami is only one part of the operating area for an organized crime network that dress up as construction workers with the white F150 and everything. they are armed and have used violence against people. they will take anything and everything from chop-saws to back-sights and they aren't afraid of cameras.

But the weather is nice.

What is EFB?
Thank you, Dave! I was too embarrassed to ask.
Dave
Electronic Field Book?
I've never heard of EFB. Is this it?

If that's not it, I can think of lots of clever and snarky "meanings".
Dave
I guess you and I aren't qualified for the job so we need not apply.
> What is EFB?
Early Fall Beer.
Used in a sentence: "Oktoberfestbier / Märzen is my favorite style of EFB, come November when it's time for LFB I prefer a pumpkin ale."
Electronic Field Book?
Yes that is it. It's used on FDOT jobs. I have never used it because none of the firms I worked for in Florida did any FDOT work.
Hahahahahaha
