I don't see anything about licensing as a requirement or qualification so I am going to apply. Sounds like a cool gig.
If you're not licensed or a life-long federale with a couple decades of cadastral experience, I don't think you'll make the short list... This position directs millions in cadastal survey work every year.

Thanks for the confidence Brad, but that one is out of my scope. I would expect to at least have my CFed before leaping for that. Besides, it would be nice to be closer to home. Anchorage is a lot closer to western Colorado than Kandahar, bur Denver is a 4 hour drive and makes for a weekend commute. I actually have my eye on some Geographer positions with USGS in Denver. Fingers crossed I at least get on the consideration list. I have already been told I qualify as a GS13 so I know that won't be the deal breaker. If anyone knows some USGS folks ?......
