Saw this job posting for a survey job in Antarctica!

I started my survey career surveying ice fields above Juneau as a young glaciologist.?ÿ All because I was big enough to carry my gear along with a T2.?ÿ I'm might actually have to talk to the wife about this.?ÿ Could be fun winter work.

One of the two guys that taught me to survey on the ice, Charles Swithinbank, was the surveyor for 2 year Antarctic exploration in the late 40's.?ÿ He had a photo of him behind the instrument.?ÿ I just looked like a pile of furs.?ÿ At one point he had became the head of the Scott Polar Research and Dean of Glaciology at Cambridge.
