yay.. I'm going back in the field

A good friend calls me this morning asking for help to run a travers.
I owe him a ton and am happy to help. I was ready to strap on some field clothes and be out the door but he says it's not til tomorrow.
No problem. I'll strap up tomorrow and be ready to go....
God's grace and will permitting..

It doesn't seem like that many years ago you got your first survey job.....

Yeah perhaps so. Seems like only yesterday. 10-`15 years ago is more like it.

That's the fun part for certain.

It just gets a bit tougher as you near the 6th decade and the belt, jeans & shirts keep shrinking. Even that dang rover/robot gets heavier, as the hills get steeper, and the ground seems harder to drive a stake into.

Still can't quite give up that fun part though, can we.
