Hello. I have a 1950s old-style Wild T1. I would like to remove the micrometer microscope. Does it have threads at the base and screw out of the telescope junction? That is the arrangement on the Wild T2 but I can't budge the T1's microscope. I don't want to force it if it connects differently.
Why do I want to remove it, you ask? To try swapping the eyepiece assembly with an autocollimation eyepiece (actually from a T2). To remove the eyepiece assembly, it appears that the micrometer microscope needs to be removed first. Thanks for any tips.
