I am working on an elevation certificate for a small residential structure. It is a house that is built in concrete piers, very similar to the way a manufactured home would be supported. The "underskirting" is tin secured to a 2x4 frame that extends to the ground.

What building diagram would you consider this? I am leaning towards Diagram 6, and fully explaining the underskirting in the comments section.

The way you explained it, I would go with diagram 6, also.

Difference between Diagram 6 and 8?

I always thought that Diagram 6 was for houses where the bottom floor was higher than the typical pier and beam type house. Maybe it was the bracing shown in the drawing that made me think that. Although Diagram 8 does not mention piers, columns, etc., it does mention that it has solid or partial perimeter walls, so what would be supporting the house if not the walls?
