We recently purchased an FC-5000 with the newest version of Magnet on it.?ÿ This collector holds radio much better, and seems to not have any of the issues that the 500 did.?ÿ Our retailer thinks that the older version of magnet that we have on the 500's may be the issue.?ÿ We will be sending one of the 500's in to be updated and see if this fixes the problem.?ÿ Apparently the older versions of magnet had some bugs in it that cause this issue with newer mifi's.?ÿ Once we get the older 500 updated I'll let you know if that fixes the issue.
Why send the FC500 to the dealer for a simple software update?
Just connect the FC500 to your office wifi. Go into Magnet Tools. Select the Magnet logo in the upper left. Select software update. Be certain your maintenance contract is up to date.
We have tried this before and the collectors had reoccurring freezing problems mixed with random restarts.?ÿ They ended up having to be sent in anyway.
