This might be the most pointless piece of information I've seen on a drawing set.?ÿ
I really need the angle created by the foundation wall, I don't need the 90d notation between the wall and the faded dimension line.?ÿ
No where in any of the plans sheets does that angle show up.?ÿ
?ÿ
I bet there aren't enough dimensions to close the foundation either.
How did you know that? ?????ÿ
You're correct there is one dimension missing, if I make a educated guess that it's 3.5' and I go around the building each direction from the two angle breaks on each side, I do end up with the same distance along the match line. The angle works out to be 135d07'36", that number doesn't sit very well with me.?ÿ
Been there many times....
This is why our standard construction staking contract specifies that we will stake gridline intersections only when it comes to large structures.
Of course, having said that, we often end up staking portions of walls in cases of strange angles, like this. At least then it's almost always at an extra T&M fee...even if it doesn't alleviate the frustration.
I don't need the 90d notation between the wall and the faded dimension line
Are you sure that that is what it is?
It looks to me that he has annotated a dimension between the faded dimension line (the one at the right hand end of the 3'-6" dimension) and a line that no longer exists at all. It's almost like he turned off a layer in CAD when he printed it.
Look at where the annotation arc meets that little line at the left end of the arc. The arc snaps in the middle of that line, which means that line is not part of that wall. I reckon that there is a dimension line missing. He has annotated, then deleted something.
Not that it matters. It doesn't seem to solve your angle problem.
When you realize that architects only own 45?ø-45?ø-90?ø and 30?ø-60?ø-90?ø triangles your 135?ø+ angle looks good.
I was expecting 45d, but that didn't happen. It will be a couple of inches out of square if 45d is applied.?ÿ
@mightymoe When you go back to do your final location of the structures and buildings and such, you are going to find that a couple inches are the least of your worries.
I blame the Architect.?ÿ I was married to one, and learned to always blame them first.?ÿ ;)?ÿ
