A friend of mine recently visited Fontana Dam in North Carolina and found the benchmark shown (attached) and I'm wanting to find a data sheet but am having no luck. Anyone here have experience with tracking these down? Any help is appreciated.

Dang, that was fast! Thank you.

Do you have a link to where you found it?

I suppose that would be NGVD29 and NAD27.

@bill93 It's close but there was actually an adjustment in the 30's for the Tennessee Valley Authority that most of their work is tied to.?ÿ I don't recall the name of the datum off hand or know for sure that Fontana was based on it.

@stephen-ward A decade ago I did some work on the John Sevier coal plant for TVA.?ÿ They didn't want to pay for an all new survey, rather they wanted me to "conglomerate" all their other data, and pick up some new survey data.?ÿ So I had some stuff on plant grid, other stuff on TN 4100 state plane, NAD 27, and other stuff on 4100 state plane, NAD 83.?ÿ The NAD 83 stuff was NAVD88, and the other was NGVD29.

@tommy-young I'll have to pull out my notes, but I remember picking that up in a TAPS seminar a few years back.?ÿ I was surprised?ÿ because I'd never heard of it either.
