Can a Trimble TSC3 Controller be set up to to work with a Topcon total station?

I know this is old and a long shot, but could you describe how you were able to do this?

Of course, it depends on the instrument, but there are a couple of ways that I can think of:
- install SurveyPro, still supports some order tc instruments
- install Carlson SurvCE, still supports many older tc instruments
