Used a s7 rental while s5 was being repaired. So glad to get those tracklights back! Can see then for a good distance.

I have used both. Currently I am using a S7 and love it. It took me a minute to get used to losing my track light but can probably get locked quicker now with the video and the onboard GPS on data collector. Although in the woods when video cant see thru the branches and leaves the track light is untouchable. Other than that they are the exact same guns.
If you do a lot of scanning then the 7 is a better buy but apples to oranges they are not much different.
