G'day,
I'm currently working on a project where I'm required to set out chainage from a design centreline aswell as offset's to the edge of road where the end of road does not necessarily follow the same offset to design centreline. A colleague is using the leica road runner and can stake design centreline with a reference line at the same time. In the trimble though i can't do both. Does anyone know how to? Trimble in Perth seem to know less about there equipment then I do. I was hoping maybe in TBC i could export the edge of road with a chainage generated from design centreline. Right now i have to use the hot keys but Trimble doesn't allow an alignment and road to be staked at the same time which means i have to exit the module everytime i want to switch between design centreline and edge of road. Any help would be much appreciated

Unfortunately can't help with actual problem, but had to have a laugh at your comment above!
I thought Trimble in the middle east were the only ones that bad. When you ask for a demo of a feature and get a blank look and a comment of "We didn't know it could do that " you know it's just you and google for support if any questions come up!

Roadrunner is well worth the $995 US if you do a lot of true road layout.
Carlson SurvCE with Roading blows everything else away. My experience with Leica field software was horrible (I suspect it was written by a dyslectic chimpanzee), and the Trimble field software just lacked depth of routines.
