Any new info to add over the last year now that the R10 has some time under it's belt?
Still just as sexy as it was last year bro. 🙂

How often does X fill come into play in your neck of the woods? I'm sure each job is different, but curious if the added cost is that useful and of course the pessimist in me worries if i will actually get good dat
Not questioning your previous post just curious
If anything I like it more than ever... we seem to get better results with the R10 than the R8.
Is there a significant difference between the R8 and R8s?

Very seldom. We have great AT&T coverage here and we do a lot of planning ahead of time. If the cell service is marginal, then we don't use it but back up and punt with the R8. Anderson County is my favorite county to work because it has a reference station and booming signal. Goes a lot of places.
XFill doesn't kick in that often but with a radio base it can be a big help if you have trouble spots on a site.

The R8s is the fourth generation R8, and as I understand it replaces not only the R8III but the R6 and R4 as well - the "s" stands for Scalable. And no, I don't think there's much difference between an R8III and an R8s - the R8s may be able to use RTX corrections, I'd have to look that up.
There's a pretty big difference if you go back to the R8II but they still work pretty well. HUGE difference going back to the original R8.
The R10 also has a 2W internal radio. Much improved over the R8 units that have only 0.5W.
