Ashtech is now part of Spectra, which is part of Trimble.
Should be an interesting year, riding the brand, as Phil says.

So will Spectra actually get semi modern Ashtech receivers to work with Survey Pro?
More of Trimble's buy them and bury them philosophy. The funny thing is, every time that they do this, Leica benefits also.
I bet there are a bunch of guys in France and Russia scrambling to update their resumes right now.
Ashtech probably will continue only under Spectra brand.
I think that Trimble understand that need for Spectra another instrument, not only one name.
In future, Spectra product will include probably Ashtech board for low end market and Trimble board for medium market.
Also, this acquisition will give possibility for Spectra to offer also GIS device, market where they don't have any device and Trimble refuse to give one from their range.
Probably GNSS Solutions will disappear, and SPSO will replace them.
