Hi all, I've been using a Trimble S7 total station and a TSC5 data collector for about 6 months now and I've just recently run into an issue where everytime I start up in the mornings all of the settings for my job seem to have been reverted back to defaults. This forces me to add my prisms every day and change a handful of settings as I go. This hasn't always happened and just started being more and more frequent. Any ideas are welcome.?ÿ Is there a save job settings option or something I've been missing? It's starting to get infuriating lol.?ÿ

I wouldn’t think it would have anything to do with actual job settings for the prisms deleting…

do you use a template creating your job?  Make sure your template settings are correct and everything included/set properly  that would fix your job settings reverting at least.

the prisms repeatedly disappearing could be fixed by that, but I have not had this issue specifically. Once I added all my prisms, they’ve been there since.

check the different templates you use though, and the profile within Trimble access are my only advice.  I will be following for future troubleshooting… I use the same setup.  Best of luck

@kenknut

Access holds those settings like prisms in the config.cfg file in the System directory.

Loosing those settings suggests something happening to the contents of that file.

Could it be being overwritten by mistake?
