Perception indeed. Why would anybody not investigate a software package that apparently meets your business needs and is well-supported? It's been my understanding that the Oregon BLM office has utilized CMM/GMM as their computational tools of choice for 20 years or more, despite the obvious shortcomings like a lack of documentation and user guide, no general updates or fixes for 15 years, etc. Now with dubious functionality in the Windows 7 environemnt it must be time for most BLM offices to look for new software that meets their needs. I'm not surprised other software hasn't been developed commercially to fill the "niche" market you mention as PLSS work is the minority of work performed in private practice.

Maybe you should buy TPC and see what it does or doesn't do before you throw bitter little rocks?
