We have Trimble TSC3 collectors with AT&T GPRS cards inserted into them. When I create a new connection for the internet using the logins and try to connect to the internet it automatically replaces all the settings with "proxy" and deletes all the settings, user names, passwords, etc. Any ideas? I create them under the Trimblenet connections section, should it be my ISP, work connections. Really beating my head against the wall at this time.

I'm sorry, I can't help you on the Trimble. Just wondering though... Where is the dealer that sold this unit to you. They should have already done this.

We are using the same setup with a TSC3 and a ATT sim card. This is what all our setting are page by page after selecting internet setup in the access menu. Let me know if this will help or if you need something else.

Connection using: Phone/Modem
Turn on: Bluetooth

Port: Cellular Line (GPRS)

Home network location: USA
Service Provider: AT&T
Plan: non-contract

Connection name: AT&T

Thanks for help. Thats what we have in Access too. The problem is the settings are getting wiped out and set to "proxy" in the Access point name section. Can you let me know what you have there? Is it isp.cingular? Is your user name phone#@cingular.com? and password cingular? This is standard for all AT&T accounts. Thanks.

Good news, everything works now, thanks for the help. Two hints for future readers, (1) the Access software came with an automatically detect toggle box, turn this off,
(2) it appears the key was the plan type, when set to anything but ex-ATT the "proxy" reset ceased to be a problem.

Again thanks for the help!
