Total Station, what's your favorite?

favorite has to be the Trimble 5603 DR200+ Robotic, with a TSC2 - the robotic and reflectorless features are great to have when needed. our crews have done a bit of scanning with this, created a nice 3d model of a median pier on the freeway, with close tolerances on the 1" bolts sticking out the top of the pier for the future pedestrian crosswalk. Not sure how we would have created such a deliverable with the older equipment. that said - the Set 3 was a great workhorse, even with having to set the vertical index each setup - we had that paired with an HP 48SX w/TDS data collection for years. earlier combo (not a total station) of a Red 2 on top of a T16 staked a lot of subdivisions in the early 80's.
