Have any of you used the Topcon Imaging Station?
Have any of you used the Topcon Tesla?
What do you think of it?
Have you used the Imaging Station and Tesla together?
I am using the image station. I think the hardware is great. I enjoy the equipment and feel that it functions as it should. I am using the “free” version of the software to process he scan data. Feel that it is OK for now.
I can’t say enough bad about the user manuals and support from Topcon. The manual appears to have been written in a foreign language and translated to English using a Google type translator and never proof read by someone who understands the English language or American surveying terms. Topcon wants $500 per year maintenance fee for a single user to view their help videos and updated manuals or to answer questions. I think this fee for basic support is outrageous.
In summary – great hardware, OK firmware and software and LOUSY support and training!
I would love to get together with other owners for user group support.
Thanks, Steve.
I figured that on the support side of it. HOpefully if I look at one again soon I will get that clarified by dealer. I don't imagine they are selling many of these things nowadays.
Will it really shoot 20 points per second?
Yes. 20 points per sec.
I have never understood why the folks that write manuals in countries that don't speak English as a native language don't pay somebdy that does understand English to proofread the manuals! Some are so poorly translated as to not make any sense!

I agree. Poor support, poor manuals, and a general lack of interest in extra effort after the sale is hurting the hell out of them. Will cost them my sale if I get the slightest whiff of potential non-support and billing me to cover their beta issues.
I should of proofread my own post, in my defense I posted from my phone, LOL
