To all who have used both these machines:

Is the 900/9000 series robot a significant improvement over the 800/8000 series robots?

What are the main similarities and differences?

Is the quick lock technology significantly improved? How about the radios?

I am not looking for a specs comparison, but rather a usability comparison. Does the 900/9000 series work a lot better?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I started with a Topcon APL-1A and loved it, besides being built like a tank. Then used a 802A with RC-2 and it caused me enough frustration to move on from Topcon for roboting. I don't have any experience with the 900 or 9000 series robots, but I have heard that it more of the same that was experienced with the 800 series. Has better spec.'s when listed side by side, but the same feel to operate, but that's just what I've heard and I haven't even seen one in person and don't care to after the 802A. Took all I had some days not to drop kick that unit.
