Had to go out and locate a few boreholes for an ongoing project so while I was out there I shot the 6500 CFS Floodway line in the vicinity of a future 1700' bridge. Now it's for real and not just penciled in from an aerial.

Definitely not Moistner quality since they are from my phone but anyway....

Just to the left of the rusty old pipe is where we cross to get to the low "uplands" for this area. The fence is just poking out of the water and it is on a slope. The center of the channel of this slough (not the river itself) is probably 5-6 under water right now.

Levee between the slough and the cattle field. There is a small 1-2 acre "island" left right now with some cattle trapped on it (where you see that white tank). Then about 800' of water to the OHWL of the Boise river. The farmer was trying to figure out how to get them around another direction. I stayed away from them since they spook easily after calving.

And this one was taken for reference of the bridge location. I'm on the centerline of the bridge alignment. I might make this my new avatar.

They aren't THAT bad, considering they are from your phone. :mp:
