Usually on scanner jobs my employee does the scanning and I do the total station and GPS control.
So today I said, I will do the scanner and you figure out the control and take care of it.
So we are burning away. The Attorney wants some specific shots (reflectorless). So he teaches her how to run the total station (didn't hurt that she is very cute and smart too). He tells her don't lean on it, don't hold the tripod, etc, just aim and shoot. This is very documentation intense so he has to take a photo through the TS then take the shot and store it in the DC.
I ran a Honda 1000 watt generator for 9 hours without refueling it. No need for a gas can, just fill it in the morning.
Fast forward ten years:
Attorney: "I used to be a surveyor, too, so I know you can sign this certificate I'm sending over to you ..."
Do you get a chaise lounge to use while scanning?
No.
Hint: Scanning is actually a very busy task. You don't just turn it on and let it scan 360 at high density (unless you want to baby sit it for two days).
