Been checking in lately to see what has been going on here. I find it is beginning to become addictive like the old RPLS.com
Less drama :'( but still interesting and informative.
I have no interesting surveying stories since I have been busy pushing paper all summer.

Cool bridge. Is that a bike trail / foot traffic bridge?
Yes 10' wide, rail to rail. It connects a trail around the lake.

It's Wagon Creek Bridge across Lake Siskiyou. It will be open to the public on Oct. 19th 2010 Span is 262' There is a 10 mile trail around the lake. RV camping, tent camping, golf, tennis, chalets, ect. ect.
