Has anybody been playing with the NEW [BETA] OPUS yet???

http://beta.ngs.noaa.gov/OPUS/

This will [very] soon become 'THE' OPUS.

NAD83(CORS96) and ITRF00 will soon pass into obsolescence and be replaced by NAD83(2011) and IGS08. This is GOING to happen within weeks (not months or years), and a couple of tests that I ran this morning indicate a NON-trivial difference out in my neck of the woods (Eastern Great Basin).

I do not like the fact that you can't pick CORS from a list. You either have to type them in or pick them from the map. The map function doesn't work so well and unless you know the four letter name of every CORS around then you're in trouble. I have processed sessions in the mountains of southern WV that I had to submit 100+ times with different combinations of CORS to obtain a solution suitable for DB. Without the list that will not be possible.

I haven't tried the new beta OPUS, BUT I have issues with the current revamp of OPUS, you can't get XML files AND extended output in the same run, AND recently I found if you try to duplicate results from a few months ago, you can not pick the same CORS, even when you try it adds a 4th one to the mix, they have a few bugs to fix with what they have prior to rolling out the beta version, as far as I am concerned the current OPUS should be considered beta too. At least the old version retired a few months ago gave the expected results.

I agree with Shelby. I also miss the "files in queue" so you know how far down the list you are.
