This article isn't really that interesting in and of itself, but the links and links within it make for interesting reading.
I wonder how many of the "Boundary Commissions" mentioned actually employ the services of some sort of geodetic surveyor(s).

Heck the US has 3 ongoing disputed boundaries with Canada alone: off the States of Maine, Washington and Alaska in the Arctic. Go figure.
