Looking at an old Highway ROW. It's fitting in the "Sweet Spot" for highway design. Firstly, it's older than the late 60's-90's era that fell in love with ROW spirals. WHEW!!!
Not that I can't deal with spirals,,,,,,,but I hate them for ROW retracement.?ÿ
It's also almost a due north section so I won't worry about true north, some of the long east-west ROW's are tricky since you're retracing a true north survey and constantly adjusting for that.?ÿ
And there are 10 miles with no jogs the entire length. It's highway retracement heaven.?ÿ
Something you haven't considered yet will jump up and bite you in the ass.?ÿ Just wait.?ÿ It will happen.
Something you haven't considered yet will jump up and bite you in the ass.?ÿ Just wait.?ÿ It will happen.
I'm gonna say the weather.
That's just the way reality differs from what we can envision.
A few months back we were working on a combine.?ÿ I made a significant expenditure fixing a problem.?ÿ My comment was, "That'll get us going so we can find the next problem."?ÿ Less than an hour later we discovered a hidden problem that set me back another $1900 in parts.?ÿ That is my standard luck with anything mechanical.
Knock on Wood...
