My brother and I (we work together) saw the latest POB magazine and wondered how surveyors in a state like California which have fault lines deal with boundary issues for when the land shifts. I was reading about the Cullen Earthquake Act, which to me just outlines how to go about reestablishing boundaries (I admit I glanced over it). We figured that if a parcel of land straddled the fault line and it shifted, title would still be preserved. Since we live in Florida, we are just guessing. Also, how is ownership affected along the fault lines? Does the state have some special reservation similar to river beds?
Surveying around sinkholes
Florida and sinkholes seem to have a strong connection.
How about some cases where property corners have disappeared? Know of any cases where an entire property fell in the hole?

I know of partial parcels that have fallen victim to sinkholes.
They are now referred to as "Lake front property"
