What are the options to the data collectors on the market today? Some data collection software will go on about any type of device these days. Battery life is a consideration. What do you use?

I personally like the Ranger series of data collectors. Th have used a TSC1, a Ranger 200X, Ranger 300X, Ranger 500X, and a Ranger 3. I am fairly new to the Ranger 3. I like the real keyboard. I have also used a buddy's Nomad, and while I could operate it, if I was running the gun for him, I would almost always upload the data files to the Ranger so I could be more efficient.

The battery life on all of these were pretty good. At least two days on all of them.

I use a Topcon FC-5000 tablet. I'd prefer something smaller, ergonomically-shaped with a keypad. If I made purchase decisions, a big consideration would be protecting my data. A data collector capable of storing my data to the cloud would be a big plus.
