If you monitor this board regularly, you'll get LOTS of feedback on SurvCE, especially if we users know you're watching. So, here's mine - how about enabling pinch zoom on the map screen for touch sensitive collectors?
Also, would really like to see a QWERTY soft keyboard - Wish I had all the time back that I've spent hunting for the darned "L" 😉
Thanks!

I don't monitor it regularly, but I do look every now and then just to see if there are any bugs I need to know about. You are always welcome to email me personally too.
Pinch zoom has been a request on our list for a while, so I'll bring it up again and see if we can get it done. We did make a QWERTY keyboard for SurvPC, so maybe we can shrink that up and get it moved to SurvCE soon. Thanks for your feedback.

One suggestion would be to be able to calculate curve data with 3 points w/1 of the 3 points being the radius point?! It's 2016, how is this NOT available in your software package? My 2001 SMI card will let you do this as well as having 2 points and the PI. Takes me forever to calc curves b/c of this.

I haven't used SurvCE in years, but I used to comp curves all the time - with whatever mix of data I had:
From the manual:
Define Arc (PC, PT Value)
This option for defining the arc requires four input parameters: the Start point,
End Point, Curve Direction, and any of the following: Radius Point, Radius
Length, Arc Length, Delta Angle or Degree of Curvature. The starting station
defaults to 0, but can also be changed. See the figure below.
Yes, but then you still have to exit out of that to go to the curve calculator to GET THE DATA! I want to be able to input PC point #, PT point #, Radius point # and BAM! have the program spit out all the values (Radius, arc, chord, chord direction, tangent, delta, degree, etc.). They don't do that in 1 easy step. I'm not interested in staking points on a curve, I know how to do that, I'm interested in reporting and writing down the curve data. It's like a 6 step process in what used to be a 2 step process w/SMI.

I understand that it may not do it the way you want it to do it, but that is different than saying that it CANNOT do it at all...
YES! And it's why I posted it on here as a suggestion. I think in their calculator module where you can enter 3 points to define an arc and it gives you the data, one of the three points should be able to be something other than a point on that curve. Just add the routine of adding in the PI or the RP and there you go. If ittakes me 6 steps to get the data, then yes, the program CANNOT do what I need it to do...

I agree. Simply searching this site will reveal a lot of issues, and good ideas. I won't pile on, my service tickets were put in. But, it feels like there is a shift at Carlson, and not in a good way, service-wise. I hope they keep on the path that made so many loyal customers.

Wish I would've known this before I shelled out the money on their stuff like I did at the end of last year. I haven't been happy, I can tell you that...
I discovered this issue in the field on my own, unfortunately, like Jim, after having performed 2 jobs in the field with failed offset measurements.
This is the link I got from Carlson after reporting the bug. I am upgrading now.
