...These days I carry a lot of stuff in my vest, but I haven't carried a plumb bob for at least 15 years.
My "go to" is my vest with scads of pockets in which to hide all sorts of things.?ÿ It has several large pockets and a "dead quail" pouch on the back.?ÿ It's the only vest I've ever had that allows me to carry a field book, roll up tape, a can?ÿof flo-orange paint and a claw hammer...and still have both hands free to wave at the ladies.

Nate,
I'd take the tape off of that scrap reel, find a sandy area, and drag it behind the truck for a while.?ÿ With a little oil and new leather it will likely end up being a good throw chain.?ÿ I didn't notice any splice repairs or major kinks in it.?ÿ I bet it cleans up nicely.
