Well things are interesting here as you may have heard. St. Louis County's website has been reportedly hacked. No research will be completed online anytime soon.

I just hope all the information won't be lost and the "hack" was only to the website and not the databases.

Well that's gotta really hit hard. We rely on that "technology" to be at out beckoned call 24/7/365. Hope it gets fixed in short order.

At first I thought your post may have been about that kid that got shot, and now the seeming riots. Bad news there. Glad it wasn't though, and sorry about your bad news with the website.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY - St. Louis County government websites have been hacked, NBC News confirms.

NewsChannel 5 confirmed with St. Louis County dispatch Thursday morning all country government websites are down.

NBC News reports St. Louis County police confirmed they are under "some sort of cyber-attack," and that email has been down since Wednesday night.

Earlier this week the hacking group Anonymous allegedly took down the City of Ferguson's internet and phone capabilities.

Yeah the shooting/riot/police military state here is a whole other topic(s) not suitable for this site. I just wanted to point out that Land Surveying, of all professions, is now being affected.

We completed a survey earlier this year at that very intersection where the riots are happening-not really a bad part of town at all, quite a sad state of affairs.

I lived and worked that area for years. The worst problem we ever had was a few turd teenagers with absent parents. I still have a daughter and 2 grandsons near this stuff. It is a sad state of affairs. ..

Glad StL, I agree that it's not beerleg material. Hope your county website gets back up to speed for you guys.

Aside from only driving through St Louis between MI & AZ a couple times, a buddy was at a conference there several yrs back so I flew from Grand Rapids and mooched a room. Loved the train from the airport to downtown, and that cool area on the river with a bunch of bars & docks & lots of patrons. Something like Lock....?? something or other

The best part was we took in a hockey game between the Blues & Black Hawks (I think it was the Savis Center then). He's wearing a Lions shirt, I'm wearing a Red Wing shirt. We had a blast with all the fans, and partying afterwards with them at the bars. Lots of fun, and not even one speck of trouble. Good luck to your Blues this year BTW, they are doing nothing but getting better. Hope they stand the West Conference on it's head. 😉
