Per that first story in that second link...I love the way they describe the people that found the object as "Metal Detector Wielding Looters".
The author obviously would rather the object lay buried in a field waiting for one of the following:
1.) A licensed archeologist happened to get a government grant to study that exact location and excavate it.
2.) The farmer decided to rip his field, destroying the artifact.
Thanks to these looters, mankind can now study a pristine example of the oldest space map in existence.
