Spectra Precision DR400 for sewer inverts?

Several people here in the past have posted looking for a better way of shooting sewer inverts. This looks like it would work. There are several youtube videos on it.

The problem with trying to use a laser distance device to measure inverts is that the light beam can't reliably penetrate liquid or other material in a pipe. Unless you're dealing with clean dry manholes, it just doesn't seem workable to me.

You don't need fancy equipment, just dive in and get the invert.
