We could use a good laugh, so here are some notes I found this evening from one of my adventures in 2007 (I document everything):

Wednesday 30 May 2007. I dealt with the dumb attorneys on the University House sites. I’m ready to scream.

Thursday 31 May 2007. I had a great day because Pam at Chicago Title told the attorneys she did not want me to change anything, and told me they were pestering her too.

Friday 1 June 2007. Two e-mails on the University sites. The first I responded to in detail. The second I’d had it and warned him one more note on the subject, just one more, and they could find someone else. That shut him up.

Monday 4 June 2007. A rush request on University House to remove a name, so I sent out four prints and an invoice.

Tuesday 5 June 2007. A rush request to put the name back in on University, so out went four more prints by FedEx. The same goofy attorneys.

I love it!

Now, everyone who is reading this is thinking back over what they might have written down over time if they had simply decided to do it as you have.

It took a few of my early years to learn the difference between the act of making notations in the corner and on separate pages of field book about observations, and those quotes that are actual private and individual thoughts that need to be filtered into a private journal.

Then there comes the revelation that private journals get found and read by others.

What comes to light and the resulting reaction of others is beyond control.

My conclusion was to rely upon my memory and let some things remain thoughts and never make their way to print until it happened years and years ago and can now be told anonymously in some story.

😉
