I'm getting back into Eagle Point (2011) after a few years with various other software packages, so I hope this question isn't too simple. I need to create 3 "check" sections for a road project to compare to the design cross sections (contract requirement). Crew just gathered topo shots from R/W to R/W at three specified stations (tolerance of 0.2' in stationing). So I have an ascii file of x,y,z points, and thought that would be simple to create three cross sections. I know it is pretty straight forward to "cut" sections from a surface model.
I thought I was just missing something, but my impression from one of the CAD techs is "not so simple". Seems like I did this several years ago in straight AutoCAD by scaling the horizontal/vertical exaggerations, but I have trouble believing there is not a automated software solution. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Corey

I haven't used Eagle Point since the mid 90's. It was always more line based back then. Basically an engineering program, but very poor for Surveyors. I can't speak to modern upgrades.

Carlson Civil is a very well designed program for sections work.
