I drive through Siler City NC on my way to work. Near the Interchange of US-421 and US-64 there has been a set of "Survey Crew Ahead" and "End Survey" signs up for about two weeks now. I haven't seen a crew in all of that time. I drive home through there anywhere from 6 to 10 PM, so I know they aren't disappearing every night....

They finally disappeared, so either whoever put them up finally retrieved them, or someone else helped themselves.

This does bring up another point. Anyone have any thoughts on these signs being left up when there is no actual work occurring desensitizing drivers to their presence? Construction crews around here seem to do this often. They leave their signs up for days on end. Heck, right by my house there has been a Flagman Ahead sign up for 5 days straight, even at night when no one is working. Then crews wonder why drivers don't slow down when they see the signs....
