That would be great, except the most of the factors that determine if it is "junk" or the 16th corner have little to nothing to do with a signature, seal or a certificate of survey.

I already know it is junk and whoever set it did not take the time to bust the section like I did. Which included brushing through swamp and getting my feet wet. What I am saying is that if some other surveyor set that as the 1/16th corner, than I would like to see him stand up and take credit for it. Are they confident enough to put their name on their work?

I'm beginning to wonder how many in the "don't hold the monument" crowd come from non-recording states and if more of us in the "hold the monument" camp come from recording states.
My rule of thumb (although not exclusive!) is to accept "UNDISTURBED MONUMENTS OF RECORD".
Just as Scott indicated, he does NOT have a recorded/filed survey of the concrete monument. I would not have a problem throwing it out either.
