Happy New Year Everyone!
I have to repair (reattach) a loose aluminum disk in a head wall that is being used as a benchmark. The disk is still attached to the head wall, and cannot be removed without force. It is still attached, just very loose. The existing bonding agent is nonexistent.
I have been asked to re-glue the disk, and then run new elevations to it. What is a good, durable epoxy or adhesive that will stand up to the elements?

I?ÿ use this stuff from home depot for my routine needs and it would probably do a great job here. It's on the plumbing aisle. But for a little more oomph I'd probably go down to the concrete aisle and get the anchoring epoxy. ?ÿ
The concrete epoxy is not cheap, but it works great. Be sure to get at least two of the plastic tips. The twist in the tip activates the epoxy. You can reuse the tube until empty with new tips.?ÿ

like 5 bucks at home depot.?ÿ i've set brass and aluminum disks with it in sidewalks that get a LOT of foot (and bike and scooter) traffic.?ÿ i can say what the situation will be in another 5-6 years, but they're still solid as the day(s) i set them that long ago.
If this is NGS control you should reset per thier procedures. Even local control gets used by others. Mark it reset so nobody gets in trouble...
Hydraulic cement if it has a tang, epoxy cement if not.
