My Allegro is acting a bit cranky (like inadvertently freeze) and I have been told I should do a clean reinstall on the device.
I assume my old key will work (I was told it would) but would prefer confirmation before I take the plunge.
Don't want to have to wait for new key to arrive whilst the GPS or TS runs flat 😛
I'm running 2.61 and see its up to 3 now.
Do Carlson send out reminders when software is released?
I thought I'd registered my software.
Maybe just that - 'thought'!
regards
Richard
Richard,
I believe there is an upgrade fee for 3x from 2x, or at least they charged me. I am pretty sure that your code will be the same for v 2, but not v 3. Check with Carlson support to be sure, 606-564-5028.

Presuming the hardware/operating system aspect of the Allegro hasn't changed, the change key for 2.61 would (should) still continue to work for an updated ver. 2.x build of SurvCE.

You can be notified of updates for new software releases but is generally an "opt-in" effort:

This is always a good practice. In the event a collector is ever lost or stolen, having proper end-user registrant information has assisted me on more than one occasion of being able to retrieve a SurvCE serial number that had been assigned to a unit.
thanks for input.
I WILL ensure I'm registered thanks Ladd.
Actually hadn't thought of if the device went missing!!
Hopefully all will soon be well with this device and me!
