realtor says don't do it

It's too bad that the realtor's observation is too often true. Like that story related in the CAD "professionals" (it hurts my head to put those two terms so close together) where a CAD guy said that when he asked a surveyor why the corners he was setting for lot corners differed from the ones already there, and the reply was "because I'm surveying this lot and the other gut was surveying that lot."

With knuckleheads like that "practicing" - and there's a lot of them - how can we blame real estate agents, or others who deal with land surveyors for having this perception.

It won't ever change unless the states stop licensing mathmagicians and only grant surveyors' licenses to those who actually have a professional level understanding of the surveying they are licensed to do.

How about full fee prior to commencement of work with any uses for current proposed closing only?

That is for first come first served schedule.

Otherwise, please plague my competitors.
