Before I head to the field I draw out the subject parcel and all abutters then create points and label them to match the deed description ("CP pipe 1965" or CP Stone 1926).?ÿ If I'm using Carlson software I import the parcels as a dxf and then, once I find a couple of irons, I T&R the dxfs and points to what I've found.?ÿ I haven't figured out how to T&R linework in my TSC3 so I just use the points and manually draw the deed lines if needed.

?ÿ

Carlson is my favorite software but it is buggy.?ÿ There is always a pattern to the bugs.?ÿ My guess is that there is a pattern to your calibration process that is triggering your scale problem.?ÿ Pay attention to every key stroke and/or screen press the next time you perform a calibration and see if you notice a pattern and if so alter it.?ÿ That said, my TSC3 would crash at least once but often three or more times per day until I had Duncan-Parnell wipe it clean and reinstall everything.
