@chris-bouffard the supposed rate of inflation is false.
In 1984 I could rent an apartment, own a car and get an education on $4.50 an hour which is supposedly equivalent to $12.50 an hour now. It??s not even close.
The wealthy economists that publish these economic indicators tinker with what??s included to make the numbers look better. The real rate of inflation since 1980 has been much higher than the published numbers.
