Typing in a deed with the ten-key pad and "line-by-bearing" routine. Keeps blowing up on the last call. I look at the description closely (instead of just typing in the numbers without thinking) and see the bearing is S. 89°63'14" W.
Doh!

Ah-ha. I believe I have a set of "office field notes". The adjoining parcel to the south has the exact same bearing error in the common line. The north parcel has a misclosure of several feet. I wonder if some enterprising lawyer or landowner cobbled together the field notes from previous surveyed descriptions.
