Can anyone tell me how to traverse along a curve in Trimble Access, in the COGO feature? I'm fairly well versed with most of the COGO operations but i've rarely had need for this function.

Are you traversing along points already in the DC? I may be confused but I would presume you can just traverse.:-S

Perhaps I should have worded that differently

A colleague of mine called me today and needed to calc points along a curve in access. You could calc points along the curve using the operation "traverse along a curve" in my old TDS. In Access I have always just keyed in an arc with the desired distance and staked out the end station. I was wondering if their was a different way, for future reference. I just didn't have time to teach him the math over the phone today.

Sorry for the confusion

Hi,

not sure if I understand your question well,
for staking arc's key in the arc's in the cogo menu then switch to steak out or the map screen, select the arc and choose for stake-out, choose to the arc ... works the same as ... to the line, you can stake every point on the line, works very well for us.

If you allready have a dwg with the arc's then save as dxf and use this one for staking, that's how we do it over here,

Chr.
