Guess I need to bone up on squatter's rights
Not sure where you are from but there has been several finds in East Texas where drug runners from Mexico will find a spot in the woods on government land or absentee landowners. They setup camp and grow marijuana all summer. Harvest the crop and they are gone. There is usually no road to the spot but water will be close for watering the plants.
I have never heard of one person actually being caught but there has been lots of crop destroyed by law enforcement.

Here's a site that we found next to Rte 3 in Kingston MA.?ÿ I don't know whatever happened to it.?ÿ The project was for a dam demo that would certainly have flooded this land.
This was seacoast New Hampshire.?ÿ Got the scoop later in the day, apparently one of the abutters has an adult son with some pretty heavy psychological issues and when things get too much for him he goes feral for a couple days.
About 10 years ago working for utility in Mass, that was putting a sub-station on a old?ÿcoal power plant site.?ÿ?ÿShowed up to do?ÿthe recon?ÿ& came across a full on shanty town in the grown over stock yard. Mostly tents & tarps, but some had gone over & above with stacked pallets and even a log cabin type thing using the rr ties that were?ÿabout the site.?ÿ A few weeks later they came in with those excavators w/ the mower heads that they use to clear lines and leveled everything to the ground; nothing left but needles & nip bottles.?ÿ I hated working there. Even typing this out now I get an un-clean feeling thinking back.?ÿ It ain't one world.
