I guess this is loosely tied to land surveying. It's possible the party chief working this site warned the owner of the pickup that if he did not move the truck, the super would just grade around it.

NW Corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue...LA naturally:)

I first saw this on Sunday. I thought "Naw..that guy is not marooned, couldn't be" then today on the way to the job, there he was..same spot. This afternoon I detoured a few miles back into LA gridlock and shot the pictures..

Maybe he's parked directly over the one thing they absolutely must not accidentally hit at any cost.

I still wouldn't be surprised if it ended up stolen.

Those razor wire things on the fence... is that normal for out there or is this some special site that needed extra protection?!?

See all the building materials stacked in the site? They'd be gone in 5 minutes if not for the security fence. Sad commentary, but true.
As to the truck, DUDE!!, that's a 4 wheel drive Ford!! He can drive out of there anytime he wants to. 😉

Nope, that be a 2wd Ford.

But with the right driver (here hold my beer), it can be done.
