For the first time in a long while, I had a job that using the GPS on to establish control around site would have been handy. Mostly I have been working in the woods of late.

ON MONDAY:

I set everything up and started the base unit using the auto position for RTK and began a static session for post processing.

When I connected to the rover, both the STAT light and the REC light began flashing red and of course no positions could be measured by RTK.

I then reset everything and started over with the same results.

I reset everything again and started recording for static at the base figuring I had a configuration setting wrong in the collector.

I went to another point and started the rover recording in static and went to recover a couple of monuments further along. By the time I got back both the STAT light and the REC light began flashing red.

So I measure everything up with the total station only.

ON TUESDAY:
Drafting, so I did not look into the receiver issue.

TODAY:
I take everything out to the back yard of the office and run through the set-up process and everything is working just fine.

Has anyone else had this happen and if so, any clues as to what occurred?

First guess, firmware glitching. Reload/Update should fix it.

I wonder if could be related to the current (bad) solar weather?

(That's what I blame everything on)
